Permanent Reclaimers
Our permanent reclaimer units are trusted by refineries around the world.
Details for Permanent Reclaimers
Custom Designed Fixed Units
- Permanent units are custom designed to meet client’s specific requirements, such as removal capacity, utility usage, and brine concentration and discharge rate.
- Units are installed at client sites and can be integrated into their control systems if desired.
- ElectroSep® unit does not impact operation of the amine unit being treated.
- No shutdown or process adjustment of the amine unit is required.
Advanced, Continuous Process
- ElectroSep process is continuous with no amine system level fluctuations, and no need to store the amine for treatment.
- No amine neutralization is required, and significantly less caustic is utilized relative to competitor alternatives. Feed amine is not diluted and amine losses are very low.
Worry-Free Maintenance
- ElectroSep’s standard service offering includes on-site maintenance related to specialty electrodialysis components
- Optional service contracts can include on-site quarterly maintenance, or following custom schedules
Independent Operation or Remotely Monitored and Optimized
Installed at client sites, and clients can operate them independently or opt for complete remote operation and maintenance by ElectroSep.
Extremely Safe
In an emergency, the reclaimer can be shut down immediately by pushing the emergency stop button. All operators have taken extensive safety training, and we have one of the best safety records in the industry.
Cost Effective Long Term
- Continuous, more efficient operations leads to higher energy savings and lower costs over time
- Total cost of ownership (TCO) is significantly lower than competing technologies and reliably continues to save money over time.
Trailer Dimensions
Permanent trailers are customizable to fit a range of customer site and footprint constraints, and are dependent upon amine solvent volume and heat stable salt ingress rates.
Non-Hazardous Waste Stream
Our process utilizes electrodialysis to transfer salts from the amine to a process-water stream, producing a salt-water (brine) discharge stream for disposal. The pH of this brine stream ranges between about 9 and 12, and there is no need for a pH adjustment before disposal. This stream will contain a small quantity of amine. Normally the brine stream can be sent directly to wastewater treatment systems due to its very low volume and low COD.
Reliable, Robust Reclamation Units
- All ElectroSep reclaimer units are built to the highest standards for a 20-year or longer lifespan.
- Units are built with stainless steel piping and are typically designed to meet hazardous area classification standards.
- Units are highly reliable and built to operate 24/7 for months between regular maintenance.
- ElectroSep’s units and process is noted for its ease of operation and requires significantly less on-site training and support than alternative suppliers.
Applications for Permanent Reclaimers
Oil and Gas Sector Amine Reclamation
ElectroSep has developed proprietary Electrodialysis technologies to treat amines contaminated with HSAS.
Post-Combustion Carbon Capture Amine Reclamation
ElectroSep’s CO₂ process is composed of up to three patented, independent stages to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
Glycol Reclamation
The ElectroSep process for glycol reclamation is a highly efficient and low-waste removal of salt and acids that can contaminate glycol solutions.
Water Treatment
The ElectroSep process for water treatment and ion separation uses electric charge with controlled voltage to separate and remove dissolved salts and ions from water streams.
